No big little lies here, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are more than happy to celebrate their son Deacon.
The former couple paid tribute to their son on his 20th birthday with a pair of sweet messages on social media.
"HUGE Birthday wishes to my boy @deaconphillippe!!" Reese captioned her Oct. 23 Instagram post. "Actually, not a boy, he is a 20-year-old man today! Deacon, you are such a ray of sunshine, love and positivity in this world. Keep shining that wonderful light on us all! I [heart emoji] you!"
The Big Little Lies star's carousel of photos of Deacon over the years included a selfie of the mother-son duo and a video of Deacon singing on stage. And on her Instagram Story, Reese couldn't help but give her middle child another shout-out—getting a shot of the musician dipping his chicken nugget into ketchup as he candidly looked into the camera.
Deacon responded to the touching words, "Love u mama."
As for Ryan, who also shares 24-year-old Ava with Reese, the Big Sky actor posted his own series of photos to Instagram with Deacon and reflected on their bond.
"Happy birthday to my best friend," he wrote. "I am so lucky to be your old man and so grateful for all the incredible memories and adventures we have together. You are a true blessing."
Ryan also posted a snap of Deacon on stage to his Instagram Story, noting, "The most talented and best person ever."
Reese and Ryan, who split in 2006 after seven years of marriage, have made it clear that when it comes to their son and his budding musical career, they are his no. 1 fans. In fact, back in April, the exes reunited in honor of Deacon's album release party.
The I Know What You Did Last Summer star even shared pictures of Reese—who is also mom to 11-year-old Tennessee with ex Jim Toth—Deacon and Ava at the event on his Instagram. And he made sure to spread the word about Deacon's new music.
"Awesome night w family & friends celebrating the release of, 'A New Earth' by @deaconphillippe !!" Ryan captioned the post. "Stream, download, and listen to the album."
